I'M COURTNEY, AND MY JOURNEY INTO PHOTOGRAPHY STARTED WHEN I WAS ON A TRIP AND SOMEONE DROPPED MY CANON POINT-N-SHOOT. I USED THAT AS AN EXCUSE TO BUY A "FANCY" CAMERA. 15 YEARS LATER, I HAVE SO MANY MORE "FANCY" CAMERAS BUT MOST OF ALL, I'M IN LOVE WITH WHAT THEY ALLOW ME TO DO.
If you like my photos, then that's a very good start. But I believe there's more to being a great wedding photographer than just taking great photos.
Maybe it's my Midwestern-nice upbringing, but my clients tell me that my humor, my ability to keep calm and carry on, and my endless supply of movie quotes were what sealed the deal for them after we talked.
I'm in-it to win-it with you. From helping you to plan the perfect photo timeline to answering an email on how to handle an over-exuberant family member who gives you a 5-page list of "must-have family photos" I'm here for all of it.

About My Clients
My clients are also nervous about being in front of the camera. I so frequently hear, "We're not models!" You don't need to worry about being models, because quite honestly, I would a million times rather work with real couples rather than models! I am here for my couples on their wedding day as cheerleader, coach, and guide to get you amazing photos showcasing your love and how much fun you have with each other and your family and friends. In short (which being 5'1", is always the case with me), be yourself and I'll take it from there!
My clients are emotional, authentic, and FUN! They don't take themselves too seriously. The part of their wedding day they're most looking forward to is connecting with family and friends, and they want a photographer that will capture those memories and fleeting moments, in addition to all the pretty stuff of course!

More Fun Facts About Me
In my spare time, I love to check out the latest in pop culture (so down for a new Ted Lasso season!), do some reading (Loved Project Hail Mary), or get out and run (last year I ran a half marathon every single month!)
I have watched every episode of Gilmore Girls 1,237 times. I also have a tendency to exaggerate like Lorelai Gilmore, but only in a fun way like how many cans of Rockstars I have had today (14 - don't worry, my blood is roughly 70% caffeine so this is NBD).
I was born and raised in Michigan, and I still have great affection for American's "high five" - in so small part because my parents and four brothers still live there! I was in California for 15 years, then moved to Oregon which I absolutely adore! The lush greenery and even the drizzly days appeal to me, but I sure do miss California in January!
I have 4 brothers and 14 cousins. So that large wedding party and large guest list are totally in my wheelhouse and I feel completely in my element on the excitement and unpredictability of a wedding day!
Early 2000s movie quotes are my jam! You won't be able to have even a casual conversation with me without me slipping in quotes from Wedding Crashers, Stepbrothers or Zoolander. In fact, expect to hear me ask for your best "Blue Steel" or joke that, "I don't know what to do with my hands" on your wedding day!
