Ryann and Matt’s Humphreys Estate engagement session was one for the books! I find there seems to be a common thread with couples that I work with, and it’s that one of the partners keeps the other one laughing constantly! In this case it was absolutely Matt that kept Ryann laughing through their entire engagement session!

Ryann + Matt showed up exactly as they are: fun and ready to spend time getting all snuggly with each other! Humphreys Estate is a unique location in Temecula. The estate features mature trees, a beautiful house, ivy-covered walls, and stately lanterns. I like to move around a lot to get TONS of variety for engagement sessions, so I’m always delighted to photograph here!
Outfit choice is always one thing that couples worry about, and I think Ryan and Matt did a great job here! They brought a few different outfits and because the estate is pretty walkable, we were able to get to all of them! For “dressy” photos, I think a suit without a tie is always an awesome choice! A long dress tends to flow very nicely and catch any breezes beautifully!
Another worry couples have is POSING! Y’all have seen Talledaga Nights, right? Poor Ricky Bobby doesn’t know what to do with his hands! My job during a session is to help couples get in cute, cozy positions and help you to relax and bring out that natural emotion! I will say Ryann and Matt didn’t need a ton of encouragement! They kept each other laughing the entire time!
The light was just divine!
Ryann switched over to a white dress which was also a perfect complement to Matt’s blue suit!
Oh this tree at Humphreys Estate! Any time I see an arch, I’m going to attempt to put a cute couple under it!
A huge reason Humphreys Estate has become so popular is the beautiful greenery and trees surrounding the house! This isn’t a house style you see often in Temecula, it definitely reminds me of the east coast! It makes for a gorgeous backdrop! I really loved the shadows of the tree here and played with that a bit to help Ryann and Matt stand out!
Loved Ryann and Matt’s last look! My recommendation for couples is to coordinate, not match, and if someone is wearing a pattern, it’s best to have the other person in a solid color. They looked perfect here (and really popped off the green background!).
For the last part of Ryann and Matt’s session, they had requested some hill views, and I scouted the location a bit earlier in the week and found an accessible hill not too far away from Humphreys Estate. I love the beautiful warm light and the view of the Temecula hills here! A perfect way to end an amazing Temecula engagement session!
