Winter White Barn Micro Wedding

This Winter White Barn Micro Wedding was a dream collaboration with some of Temecula Valley’s most talented wedding vendors! With micro weddings becoming more popular this year, I wanted to put together a small-scale styled shoot to show modern, gorgeous options for the couple looking to downscale their event but still celebrate in style! I initially reached out to the uber-talented Jennifer of Peachy Keen Weddings and Sara of Sweet Stems Florist to collaborate on a micro wedding shoot and they over-delivered on an amazing creative vision, like usual!

As a Temecula wedding photographer, I’m always looking for something new and I was immediately drawn to Winter White Barn. What I love about this venue is its bright and airy reception barn. When you think of a barn, you naturally think of a dark wood setting. As the name implies, Winter White Barn’s white reception space with gorgeous open rafters was the perfect setting for our Temecula micro wedding!

It all starts with an elegant invitation suite! The talented Deb at Paperdoll Invitations created this gorgeous suite of paper products. I particularly loved the acrylic invitation! Such a modern and elegant touch!

I LOVED this gorgeous cake! Obviously with a micro wedding you don’t need a large tiered production of a cake – but the right colors and fresh flowers make all the difference!

Winter White Barn’s on-site cocktail bar was the perfect addition! I’m a huge fan of craft cocktails and Two Olives and a Twist does it best! Cheers!

THIS SET UP!!! When Jennifer and I initially discussed modern styling for this Temecula micro wedding shoot, she immediately thought of these gorgeous tables from Bright Rentals. Combining those with slightly more traditional chairs from Winter White Barn had a beautifully modern impact. Above the bride and groom’s table, they opted for a floral wreath and kept the table centerpieces low with chiffon table runners and scattered bud vases throughout the settings.

After I photographed the set-up shots, we brought in the models! It was important to me to work with a real couple so I could get lovey and authentic moments I’m used to capturing with my wedding day clients! These two were the sweeeeeeetest! Giggly, fun and awesome! These were REAL hard-shell white fudge popsicles! Almost (almost) too cute to eat! Garrett is serving some EYES here! Or as I like to call it, Blue Steel! The lighting was freaking AMAZING at this point – all we had to was step outside and get some of that pretty sunset glow on Garrett + Kiara’s gorgeousness! I haven’t mentioned yet, Garrett’s wearing a suit from Friar Tux and Kiara’s dress is from Lulus! I fell in love with this rose-hued suit when a groom wore it last year. And Kiara’s dress was perfection for our modern shoot vibes! Here’s one great reason to hire professionals – because Sara + Jennifer put together the reception vision with lots of bud vases and small florals, we were able to reuse those at Winter White Barn’s beautiful outdoor ceremony space! This is a fantastic way for couples to tie together their ceremony and reception decor while staying on budget. We even reused the table centerpieces and hanging lanterns on the ceremony arch!
