Murrieta Ranch Engagement Session
When Hillary and Michael let me know they wanted to have a Murrieta Ranch engagement session with a horse, I was thrilled! Hillary is a veterinarian and has a deep love for animals. She had a connection to a ranch in Murrieta that was happy to let us “borrow” their horses for an engagement session!
Hillary and Michael are another fun couple I have adored getting to know! They’re fun, genuine, and wonderful people. I’m so excited to be their wedding photographer!
They’ve booked their wedding day at one of my favorite venues (Forever & Always Farm) and I can’t wait to capture more of their cuteness and sweet connection at their summer wedding!

I don’t know what this horse’s name is, but he (she?) sure was sweet!
Choosing outfits is probably one of the most stressful choices when it comes to engagement photos! I loved what Hillary and Michael chose! Hillary wore a gorgeous cream maxi dress with a peach and green floral pattern, and Michael wore jeans, a crisp white shirt, and boots (perfect for a ranch!). I always think a maxi dress is a great choice because the fabric moves beautifully and gives your hand something to hold onto. A button-up shirt is a fantastic choice for a guy – casual but still sharp!
Ah, I just LOVE that golden light! Like all engagement sessions, I started about an hour and a half before sunset. The trees just GLOW when the sun hits them and couples end up with the most gorgeous backlight around them!
Time for an outfit change! Hillary brought along her super-sweet pup to get some images! This has been her constant companion since girlhood. I always welcome furry friends to engagement sessions!
We all just want someone to walk hand-in-hand with, right? Loved this part of the session along a white fence roadside. Right at the end of the session we popped out into the middle of the road for some final images. A few perfect pictures to represent their journey together in life!
